GAHANNA, Ohio - In spite of trailing
Lincoln (Gahanna, Ohio) 17 points,
Pickerington Central (Pickerington, Ohio) surged back to grab a 28-23 win over
Lincoln (Gahanna, Ohio) Saturday.
After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown, the Golden Lions went into halftime with a 17-7 lead. The Tigers took the lead for good with a touchdown pass by
Colby Simkins to
Taco Charlton in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring 14 points in the third, Pickerington Central still trailed by 2 points going into the fourth quarter. But seven points in the fourth helped PC pull out the victory.
The Pickerington school didn't take the lead for good until the the fourth quarter when Simkins thew a touchdown to Charlton.
Collin Blaney played well for Lincoln. The senior kicked one field goal.
Simkins stood out for the Tigers in the win. The junior quarterback threw two touchdowns and ran for one touchdown.
Pickerington Central also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 28-7.
With the win PC extended its winning streak to four games.
