There's no place like home for the Jasper Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They took down Northeast Dubois 63-47 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Jasper also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Northeast Dubois still got an impressive performance from Grant Goller, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Goller is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Drew Schroering was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
The win got Jasper back to even at 7-7. As for Northeast Dubois, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jasper won't have much time to rest: their next game is against New Albany at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th. New Albany has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 688 points over their last nine games. As for Northeast Dubois, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Wood Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Wood Memorial is ranked 242nd, while Northeast Dubois is ranked 223rd).
