Fernandez was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Naziel Thompson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.  Teagan Baker was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Even though they lost, Ambridge was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .436. That's the best  batting average they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, New Castle was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They lost  13-1 to Moniteau.
 New Castle saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  JT Warren, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
 Ambridge's record is now 5-8. As for New Castle, their record is now 1-17.
