Jenkins County's Donnie Gay rumbled for the longest rushing play in A Region 3A this season in his game against Montgomery County last week. Gay ran for 83 yards on the play and finished with 129 on the day as his team defeated the Eagles.
Jenkins County took down Montgomery County 60-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Gay in the win.
The Eagles' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Ira Hendrix threw for 109 and one touchdown and Zavondric Shingleton had 30 yards receiving. Martese Parris helped Jenkins County's passing attack out by catching one ball for 30 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Claxton takes on Savannah Christian. The Tigers are currently in second, while the Raiders are in third.
Jenkins County led the league in scoring this week after putting up 60 points on Eric McDonald's team. Gay in the win.
