Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Crenshaw Christian Academy Cougars, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a hard 46-28 fall against Jackson Academy on Friday. Crenshaw Christian Academy has not had much luck with Jackson Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Crenshaw Christian Academy's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brayden Moore, who threw for 184 yards and three touchdowns. Drake Mills was another key contributor, rushing for 94 yards and a touchdown.
Huntley Dees had an outrageously good game for Jackson Academy as he threw for 302 yards and four touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Hunter Hillman did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 126 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Crenshaw Christian Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Jackson Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
Crenshaw Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jackson Academy will face off against Lowndes Academy at TBD on Thursday. Lowndes Academy is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
