The Glendale Prep Academy Griffins and the Bisbee Pumas squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Glendale Prep Academy Griffins had to settle for second. They took a 58-42 bruising from the Pumas. Glendale Prep Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Griffins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Talan Sprouse, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Smith, who scored ten points.
Glendale Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Bisbee, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 18-9.
Glendale Prep Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bisbee, they will head out on the road to square off against Phoenix Christian at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Phoenix Christian is coming into the match with nine straight losses at home, meaning Bisbee will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
