Edgemont has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Friday. They will face off against the Morrill Lions at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Edgemont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Saturday.
Edgemont struggled with assists on Saturday (Wall had 11 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Edgemont was outmatched by Wall at home and fell 60-19.
Hadley Hollenbeck put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Morrill had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They really took it to Creek Valley for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-13 victory on the road. Considering Morrill has won three matches by more than 31 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Edgemont's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. As for Morrill, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
Edgemont beat Morrill 43-30 when the teams last played back in January. Does Edgemont have another victory up their sleeve, or will Morrill turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
