 In other batting news,  Jaydon Berger was a standout: he went 4-for-4 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and two  doubles. Another player making a difference was  Vaughn Nikkel, who  scored four  runs and  stole three bases while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Benton Harbor had to endure  a  22-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Ottawa Hills by a score of  11-8  two weeks ago. Benton Harbor's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 The  victory  got New Buffalo back to even at 10-10. As for Benton Harbor, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-8.
