The Hammonton Blue Devils will head out on the road to  take on  the Absegami Braves  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Hammonton came out on top against Buena  on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Blue Devils never let the Chiefs get on the board and left with  an   11-0  win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Blue Devils.
The result came thanks to  Ava Tyree's shutout, as she gave up just a  hit and racked up 14 Ks.

 At the plate, Hammonton let  Leah Alexander and  Lauren Potter run wild. Alexander  went 2-for-5 with two  triples and two  RBI, while  Potter  went 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases and two  runs. Those  three  hits gave  Potter a new career-high.  Hannah Hines also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  triple of the season.
Meanwhile, Absegami made easy work of Our Lady of Mercy Academy  on Wednesday and carried off  a  14-6 victory.
 Kali Jorgensen was a  major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  tossed six innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   three  hits. Jorgensen was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with two  runs.
 Absegami was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .444. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Our Lady of Mercy Academy only posted a  batting average of  .167.
 Hammonton's win was  their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 16-5. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Absegami, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record  this season.
 Thursday's   game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Hammonton hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .337. However, it's not like Absegami struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .391. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
