Woodstock had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 38-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Etowah Eagles. The Wolverines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.
Zeke Douglass went supernova For Etowah., throwing for 209 yards and a pair of TDs, while also rushing for 76 yards and one score on only eight carries. Their leading receiver Walker Hughes was Douglass' top target yet again, picking up 76 receiving yards, while also punching in one touchdown on the ground.
Looking ahead, Woodstock will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Woodland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Etowah, they will head out to take on Sprayberry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
