The Central Lyon/George-Little Rock Lions put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They blew past Okoboji 42-7 at home. The result was nothing new for Central Lyon/George-Little Rock, who have now won eight games by 27 points or more so far this season.
Central Lyon/George-Little Rock's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reece Vanderzee, who rushed for 94 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries, and also threw for 170 yards and a touchdown while completing 72.2% of his passes. Graham Eben was another key contributor, rushing for 116 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Central Lyon/George-Little Rock's win was their 12th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0. As for Okoboji, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
Central Lyon/George-Little Rock will be playing at home against Roland-Story at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Roland-Story's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last four contests. Okoboji does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
