Summer Creek and Goose Creek Memorial are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. The Summer Creek Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Goose Creek Memorial Patriots at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Summer Creek can't be too worried about heading out to take on Goose Creek Memorial: they just beat King at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. Summer Creek blew past King 9-1 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Bulldogs have posted against the Panthers since March 9, 2022.

Olivia Maciel was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one triple. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Sophia Ramos was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

Summer Creek hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in five consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Goose Creek Memorial has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.4 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 16-10 margin over North Shore. The Patriots' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Summer Creek has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. Goose Creek Memorial's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 15-5.

Summer Creek was able to grind out a solid win over Goose Creek Memorial in their previous matchup back in March of 2021, winning 7-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Summer Creek since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
