For Great Crossing, this counts as revenge for the 75-60 loss Covington Catholic walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Great Crossing's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Junius Burrell, who scored 21 points along with 7 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Vince Dawson, who scored 17 points.
Great Crossing's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Covington Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
