The Wadsworth Grizzlies will head out on the road to square off against the Archbishop Hoban Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Archbishop Hoban took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Wadsworth, who comes in off a win.
Wadsworth entered their tilt with North Royalton with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Wadsworth was the clear victor by a 47-24 margin over North Royalton. Given Wadsworth's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while North Royalton is ranked 426th), the result last Saturday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Archbishop Hoban's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 62-55 to Green. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Wadsworth has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Archbishop Hoban, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-3.
Wadsworth skirted past Archbishop Hoban 36-33 in their previous matchup back in February of 2019. Will Wadsworth repeat their success, or does Archbishop Hoban have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
