Basketball Recap: Mullins Skates Past East Clarendon with Ease

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Mullins's strategy against East Clarendon on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Mullins Auctioneers blew the East Clarendon Wolverines out of the water with a 66-32 final score. The Auctioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Mullins found their leader in sophomore Dakarai Worley, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. Worley is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 17 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Deyon Ford, who posted 13 points and three steals.

Mullins smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 29 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Mullins' record now sits at 15-4. As for East Clarendon, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Mullins has already played their next match (against Kingstree), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. East Clarendon is taking a road trip to challenge Atlantic Collegiate Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Atlantic Collegiate Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something East Clarendon surely won't give up without a fight.
