Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Conifer). They put the hurt on the Standley Lake Gators with a sharp 17-2 victory on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Lobos with their most commanding win of the season.
Brandon Roe was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. He has become a key player for Conifer: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 6-10 otherwise.
