The Belleview Christian Bruins scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Mile High Academy 89-31 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Belleview Christian has managed all season.
Belleview Christian was led to victory by Brandon Ewing and Garrett Owen. Ewing dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds, while Owen scored 29 points along with nine rebounds and six steals. Ewing is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Norman, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Despite the defeat, Mile High Academy saw an underclassman step up: Max Ramos scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ramos has scored all season.
Mile High Academy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Belleview Christian pushed their record up to 8-1 with that victory, which was their 12th straight on the road. As for Mile High Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belleview Christian will take on Denver Waldorf at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Denver Waldorf is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Mile High Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Denver Academy of Torah at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Denver Academy of Torah and Mile High Academy are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
