Brazos Christian was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Slocum on Friday. Brazos Christian blew past Slocum 16-1. Considering the Eagles have won four games by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Brazos Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. Slocum's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Coming up, Brazos Christian will venture away from home to square off against Hill Country Christian School of Austin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brazos Christian's pitchers better be ready for this one: Hill Country Christian School of Austin has averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Slocum, they will welcome Oakwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oakwood has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.6 runs per game on average), something Slocum will no doubt try to take advantage of.
