The Alliance Bulldogs were the 46-43 winner over the Ogallala Indians when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Alliance took a 46-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ogallala.
Alliance lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jaelynne Clarke, who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds and six steals. Clarke is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Macey Seebohm was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Alliance has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Ogallala, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
Alliance will head out on the road to face off against Chadron at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Chadron is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games. Ogallala won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Ainsworth at 3:30 p.m. on January 20th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Ainsworth is ranked 94th, while Ogallala is ranked 98th).
