Wamogo suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were outmatched by Nonnewaug at home and fell 56-25. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Wamogo has suffered against Nonnewaug since March 1, 2021.
Meanwhile, Gilbert earned a 53-43 win over Academy of Science and Innovation on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Gilbert.
Wamogo has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Gilbert, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
Wamogo ended up a good deal behind Gilbert when the teams last played back in December of 2023, losing 52-36. Can Wamogo avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
