Citrus Hill is 7-2 against West Valley since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Citrus Hill Hawks will be playing at home against the West Valley Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Citrus Hill has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since August 24.
Last Thursday, Citrus Hill had to suffer through a rough 44-7 loss at the hands of Tahquitz. While losing is never fun, Citrus Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 845th, while Tahquitz is ranked 264th).
Meanwhile, West Valley was beaten by San Jacinto 48-12 on Thursday. West Valley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-6.
Although West Valley took the loss, they still got scores from David Lawrence and Oswaldo De la cruz.
Citrus Hill's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 9.9 points per game. As for West Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
Citrus Hill took a serious blow against West Valley in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 47-0. Will Citrus Hill have more luck at home instead of on the road?
