Softball Recap: Four Straight Road Wins for Thornwell

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dixie, Thornwell was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 20-5 margin over the Southside Tigers. The Saints might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 15 runs or more this season.

Thornwell's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.3 runs over those games. As for Southside, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thornwell will square off against Abbeville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Abbeville will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Thornwell surely won't give up without a fight. As for Southside, they will take on Carolina Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
