The West Rusk Raiders will face off against the Elkhart Elks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, West Rusk had to suffer through a 54-21 loss at the hands of Tatum. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 489th, while the Eagles are ranked 187th).

West Rusk wouldn't let Tatum keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. West Rusk can thank Adrian Vargas and Max Carrillo for forcing both of them. Carrillo is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Elkhart came up short against Corrigan-Camden on Friday and fell 21-8. The Elks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Elkhart's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Dalton Walker, who gained 138 total yards, and Cody Thomas, who rushed for 48 yards and a touchdown.
West Rusk's record is now 1-3. As for Elkhart, their record now sits at 1-3.
Friday's matchup might be decided in the trenches. West Rusk has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 185.5 rushing yards per game.
