After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North County Christian, Crosspoint Christian were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They snuck past Victory Christian Academy with a 53-49 victory. For Crosspoint Christian, this counts as revenge for the 51-37 defeat Victory Christian Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Jace Stroup continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with six steals and five assists. Asher Weldy was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
The victory got Crosspoint Christian back to even at 7-7. As for Victory Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crosspoint Christian will take on New Life Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Victory Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Crosspoint Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
