Leading Temple Christian to victory were Zachariah Rivera and Jeremiah Rivera. Rivera scored 12 points along with six steals, while Rivera scored eight points along with nine rebounds and eight steals. Rivera has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played.
Liberty Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Tanner Kuykendall, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks, and Bryan Bunnells who scored nine points along with five assists and three steals. That's the first time this season that Kuykendall posted two or more blocks.
The victory makes it two in a row for Temple Christian and bumps their season record up to 7-4. As for Liberty Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Temple Christian will head out on the road to face off against Antioch Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Antioch Christian Academy will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Liberty Christian Academy will take on Columbus Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
