After flying high against the Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf Fighting Hornet last Tuesday, the DASH United came back down to earth. DASH was beaten by Chatham HomeSchool 88-34 on Thursday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for DASH in their matchups with Chatham HomeSchool: they've now lost seven in a row.
Several United players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jason Judd, who scored ten points. Noah Harrell was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Zach Johnson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Chatham HomeSchool, scoring 19 points. Johnson continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Coletta, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
DASH now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Chatham HomeSchool, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. DASH on the road again on Tuesday and play against Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Chatham HomeSchool, they will take on Oak Forest at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
