The Lakewood Gators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 73-43 loss at the hands of Darlington. Lakewood was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-11.
Despite the loss, Lakewood still got an impressive performance from Cedric Cisse, who scored 15 points. Cisse hasn't dropped below 15 points for five straight games.
Lakewood dropped their record down to 6-17 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points per game. As for Darlington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.
Lakewood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Darlington also has no future games currently scheduled.
