The Random Lake Rams will venture away from home to face off against the Homestead Highlanders at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Random Lake's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last five games.
On Thursday, Random Lake made easy work of Howards Grove and carried off a 12-2 victory. Considering the Rams have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Ava Daggett was a major factor no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Danika Eberhardt was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 runs per game. Lily Klein also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
While Homestead didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Grafton by a score of 6-1 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Highlanders.
Anna Faucett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, Homestead let Shea Leopold and Lauren Faucett run wild. Leopold went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double, while Faucett went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Claire Gilbertson, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Random Lake's record is now 10-2. As for Homestead, their record now sits at 5-2.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Random Lake hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .336. However, it's not like Homestead struggles in that department as they've averaged .313. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
