Despite the defeat, Pasquotank County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Karissa Jones shot 60% from the field en route to 20 points along with seven boards and three steals. Meanwhile, First Flight had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They strolled past the Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 66-48. The Nighthawks pushed the score to 55-32 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.
First Flight's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Pasquotank County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
