The Zarephath Academy Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 94-80 win over Beacon of Hope Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Beacon of Hope Christian still got an impressive performance from Trisdan Fuller, who scored 41 points. Fuller continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Marquis Sams, who scored 20 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Zarephath Academy and bumps their season record up to 5-5. As for Beacon of Hope Christian, they bumped their record down to 4-8 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Zarephath Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Trinity Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on January 20th. Trinity Christian Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Beacon of Hope Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against Halifax Academy on Tuesday.
