Having just played yesterday, the Skyline Raiders will jump right back in to play the Liberty Patriots at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Skyline is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Liberty in their respective states (Skyline is ranked 123rd in Texas, while Liberty is ranked 359th in California).
On Wednesday, Skyline came up short against Bishop Gorman and fell 53-45. Skyline has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Liberty scored the most points they've had all season to find success two weeks ago. They blew past McFarland 73-22 on the road. With Liberty ahead 45-12 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Liberty to victory, but perhaps none more so than Faith Curry, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. The game was Curry's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ellee Statler, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Liberty, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
