The Bartram Trail Bears will challenge the Santa Fe Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bartram Trail is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
The home team had won the previous seven meetings between Bartram Trail and Nease, and Bartram Trail kept the tradition alive. Bartram Trail walked away with an 8-3 win over Nease on Wednesday. While the Bears didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Ella Crouse spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Hailey Allen was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ryan Penzone, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Bartram Trail hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 4-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Santa Fe came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Buffalo 6-4.
Santa Fe also got a great performance from Ryleigh Davis as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over 6.2 innings pitched.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on J'Lyn Guyden, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Maren Hornsby was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3.
Bartram Trail has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. Santa Fe's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1.
