Warwick has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Wednesday. The Warwick Warriors and the Enderlin Eagles will round out the year against one another at 2:00 p.m. at. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Warwick pushed their score all the way to 72 last Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 82-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hatton/Northwood.
Despite their loss, Warwick saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Elijah Feather Jr, who scored 29 points along with six steals and five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The match was Feather Jr's third in a row with at least ten points. Marcus Joramo was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Enderlin's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. The match between Enderlin and Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter wasn't particularly close, with Enderlin falling 69-50.
Like Warwick, Enderlin lost despite seeing results from several players. Karson Gruba led the charge by scoring 14 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Preston Dawson, who scored 13 points.
Even though they lost, Enderlin were working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Warwick's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-3. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Enderlin, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Warwick have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 33.3 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Enderlin, though, as they've been averaging only 33 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Everything went Warwick's way against Enderlin in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as Warwick made off with a 75-51 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Enderlin's Carson Bartholomay, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Now that he won't be playing on Wednesday, will it be that much easier for Warwick to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
