Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Fountain Inn's Winning Streak

After a string of five wins, Fountain Inn's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell to the Mauldin Mavericks 47-41.

Several Fury players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aubrey Garrison, who posted ten points. Chaniya Jackson was another key player, putting up eight points and 12 rebounds.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mauldin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kassidy Earle, who put up 11 points. Earle continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Imani McIver, who had eight points and nine rebounds.

Fountain Inn's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Mauldin, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

When Fountain Inn and Mauldin next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Fountain Inn will try to stop Blue Ridge's four-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Mauldin will try to stop Greenwood's four-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
