Yale has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against The Pioneer-Pleasant Vale Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Friday, Yale faced Regent Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Yale was beaten by Regent Prep 76-30.
Cornelius Prather put forth a good effort for the losing side as he threw for 186 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Teagan Minney was in the mix too, providing Yale with two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 70-24, which was the final score in Pioneer-Pleasant Vale's tilt against Drumright last Friday. While losing is never fun, Pioneer-Pleasant Vale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Drumright is ranked third).
The losses dropped Yale to 5-3 and Pioneer-Pleasant Vale to 1-6.
Yale was dealt a bruising 50-0 defeat at the hands of Pioneer-Pleasant Vale when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Can Yale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
