Baseball Recap: Woodward-Granger Comes Up Short

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Woodward-Granger and Interstate 35 meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Hawks took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roadrunners. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Roadrunners recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Woodward-Granger's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Interstate 35, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Woodward-Granger beat the Roadrunners by a score of 8-5 later that day.
