Softball Recap: Hamilton Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Hamilton's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Hatley Tigers a 9-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won seven matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Hamilton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hatley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5.

Looking ahead, Hamilton will be playing at home against Aberdeen at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.71 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Hatley, they will take on Smithville in a tournament on Friday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Seminoles have averaged an impressive 11.2 runs per game this season.
