The win was all the more spectacular given Benjamin Franklin's disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 294th in Pennsylvania, while Conrad Science is ranked 11th in Delaware).
Benjamin Franklin got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nazire Johnson out in front who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 11 rebounds. The game was Johnson's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Soukare Fane, who scored 23 points.
Benjamin Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Conrad Science, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Benjamin Franklin is on the road again on Tuesday and play against South Philadelphia at 3:15 p.m. on December 19th. South Philadelphia is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Conrad Science, they will head out on the road to face off against Brandywine at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
