Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Judge Memorial Catholic turned things around against Providence Hall on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Patriots.
Judge Memorial Catholic not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Providence Hall between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-17.
Meanwhile, Juab entered their tilt with Wasatch Academy on Monday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 win.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Juab took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-9, 25-11.
Judge Memorial Catholic better focus on containing Owen Bailey and Ethan Tuckett as the pair were huge in Juab's win. Bailey had three blocks and three aces, while Tuckett had three aces. Bailey is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now had three or more in each of the last four games he's played.
Juab was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive games.
Judge Memorial Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Juab, they pushed their record up to 16-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
