Normal Community won against Manual last Friday with 56 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Ironmen strolled past the Bloomington Purple Raiders with points to spare, taking the game 56-42. The Ironmen haven't had any issues with the Purple Raiders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Bloomington lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Carter Tindall, who picked up 131 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 55 yards. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Cooper Childers, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Normal Community's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Bloomington, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Normal Community will face off against Danville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Ironmen are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Bloomington, they will take on Peoria Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
