6A Three Rivers recap Oct. 9, 2012
Oregon City suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after falling to Grant. The Pioneers had been ranked 15th, but fell to 28 following the defeat.
Lake Oswego extended the longest winning streak in 6A Three Rivers this week by beating Canby, 41-20. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Lakers.
Lake Oswego's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Justen Ruppe threw for 123 and two touchdowns and Connor Griffin had 73 yards receiving. On the ground Jack Anderson chipped in 96 yards. Anderson helped Lake Oswego's passing attack out by catching three balls for 29 yards.
Doonie Johnson provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Clackamas beat West Linn. He completed 13 passes for 186 yards and one touchdown and also ran for four yards. Johnson's favorite target this week was Erick Douglass, who caught six passes for 67 yards.
Lakeridge's Eric Dungey and J.r. McLaughlin have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Dungey has thrown for 1249 yards this season, while McLaughlin, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 18 catches for 423 yards. Dan Sherrell from the Cavaliers leads the league in rushing with 889 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Lake Oswego takes on second place Clackamas. Steve Coury's team bested the Cougars last week, while Clackamas beat the Lions.
Two of the top units in 6A Three Rivers will face off this week when Joe Bushman's team takes on the Lakers. The Cavaliers' offense has scored 235 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while Lake Oswego has allowed only 62 on the year.

The Pacers took down Lincoln 56-30 last week, the largest margin of any game.
