The Father Capodanno Grunts will be playing in front of their home fans against The Point Christian Academy Saints at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Point Christian Academy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Father Capodanno, who comes in off a win.
Father Capodanno can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Spirit of Life Christian Academy 51-15 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-9.
Father Capodanno can attribute much of their success to Gemma Farris, who scored 16 points. Farris continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Julie Attar, who scored 13 points.
The Point Christian Academy played against the Grunts and lost via forfeit.
Father Capodanno's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for The Point Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Father Capodanno won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in January, slipping by the Saints 1-0. Will Father Capodanno repeat their success, or do the Saints have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
