The Red Cloud Warriors won the last time they faced the Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Red Cloud took down Heartland Lutheran 53-35. The win made it back-to-back wins for Red Cloud.
Red Cloud was led to victory by Kari Kucera and Adelynn Minnick. Kucera scored 18 points, while Minnick scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kucera has scored all season. Logan Brown was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
When it comes to explaining why Heartland Lutheran lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brielle Saddler. Despite the final result, she scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Carly Niemoth, who scored six points along with two blocks.
Red Cloud has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Heartland Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Cloud will challenge Giltner at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Giltner is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Heartland Lutheran, they will head out on the road to take on Central Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Central Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 34 on Tuesday.
