Costello helped send the game into overtime by throwing a TD pass to
Griffin Potts with 22 seconds left in regulation, tying the score at 40.
From there, the two teams added 70 more points across the six overtimes.
Both teams scored added two-point conversions on their first four possessions bringing the score to 72-72. The fifth overtime produced no points as both defenses held.
Cathedral Prep was on defense first in the sixth OT, holding the Red Raiders scoreless for the second straight possession. The Ramblers ended the game on the next possession.
The 72 points was the most allowed in Cathedral Prep's history, a record made tolerable by the victory.
