Gavin Markey's Big Game Leads Jefferson over East Hall
Starting off the list is Jefferson's Gavin Markey, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Markey rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, and also threw for 125 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 105 rushing yards.
Jefferson's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Markey and Jefferson will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cherokee Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.

Titus Watkins Delivers Best Performance of Season
Titus Watkins produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Oconee County to the win on Friday. Watkins threw for 262 yards and four touchdowns while completing 84.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 37 yards.
The win (which was Oconee County's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-3. Watkins and Oconee County will welcome Cherokee Bluff at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Big Game from Thompson As Cherokee Bluff Won 52-24
Cherokee Bluff picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Kaden (Kt) Thompson. Thompson did his part (and then some), picking up 98 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also rushing for 51 yards and a touchdown for the 'W'. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Cherokee Bluff pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Thompson and Cherokee Bluff will face off against Oconee County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
