The Delran Bears fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Lower Cape May by a score of 34-26 on Thursday.
Delran's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Vinny Sacca led the charge by rushing for 49 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 72 yards and a touchdown. Delran also got a significant boost from Zahir Cobbins, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 86 yards.
Delran's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Lower Cape May, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.
Delran does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lower Cape May also has no future games currently scheduled.
