South Pittsburg has not had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Leading Sale Creek to victory were Madilynn Ellis and Trinity Smith. Ellis scored 16 points along with five steals, while Smith scored 12 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Ellis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 16 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Caroline Holland, who scored ten points.
South Pittsburg now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Sale Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
South Pittsburg will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses.
