Avon Grove Charter's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ayub Massaquoi, who scored 16 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Massaquoi is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Joseph McGinley was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.
Tome's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Luke Wagenknecht led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. It was the first time this season that Wagenknecht scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Griffith, who scored eight points along with nine steals and six assists.
Avon Grove Charter has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Tome, they pushed their record up to 10-6 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.

As for Tome, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Aquinas Academy at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Tome focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Tuesday.
