Blount extended the longest winning streak in 6A Region 1 this week by beating Baker, 31-20. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Murphy lost to McGill-Toolen 52-18 last week, the largest margin of any game. DePriest Turner was a bright spot for the Panthers, as he threw for 168 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 31 yards in the loss.
Harry Satterwhite threw for 206 yards and 4 touchdowns. He went 15-17 with 0 interceptions.
Sandy Valle'e made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Yellowjackets defeated Murphy. The 6-foot-0 defensive back forced 1 fumble.
Satterwhite put up the best numbers in passing as McGill-Toolen topped Ronn Lee's team. Satterwhite's favorite target this week was Ito Smith, who caught 4 passes for 73 yards.

Montgomery and Theodore played the most contested game in the league this week, with Montgomery eventually emerging with a 13-9 victory.
