The Shelby County Rockets were the 49-12 winner over the Atherton Ravens when they last played one another back in August of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. Shelby County fell 25-13 to Atherton on Friday. Shelby County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mike Curry was on fire for Atherton: he rushed for 186 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Curry really tore up the turf during one magnificent 72-yard run.
Shelby County's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Atherton, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Shelby County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Atherton will be playing at home against Seneca at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
